Ekta Kapoor Boldly Speaks Her Mind Again

Bollywood's TV queen and producer-director Ekta Kapoor is not only known for her creative prowess but also for her fearless personality. Recently, during a press conference for her film The Sabarmati Report, Ekta made a bold statement about religion that left everyone stunned. However, those who know Ekta well are aware that she is not someone who is easily intimidated.

So, what exactly happened? During the trailer launch of her latest film The Sabarmati Report, when Ekta was asked a question about the film, she responded without hesitation, saying, "I wasn’t scared at all because I’ve never worked in fear in my life. I am a Hindu, but being a Hindu means you. I am secular and I will never comment on any religion because I respect all religions." Ekta’s courage in speaking her mind is truly commendable, especially considering she has built a name for herself and created career opportunities for thousands of artists.

It’s important to note that in recent years, films based on religious themes have gained significant attention, and such films have often become politically sensitive topics rather than purely cinematic discussions. Films like The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story have delved into such sensitive issues. Ekta’s recent film The Sabarmati Report also belongs to this genre, exploring a subject that many filmmakers tend to avoid. However, after Ekta's bold move, there's hope that more films will be made addressing these controversial issues.

The Sabarmati Report is based on the 2002 Godhra incident in Gujarat, focusing on reports related to the Sabarmati Express train fire. The tragic event resulted in the deaths of 59 Hindu pilgrims and Kar Sevaks, making it a highly sensitive subject to address in cinema.

On the work front, after The Sabarmati Report, Ekta Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Ragini MMS 3. She is also working on several new seasons of her popular TV shows like Yeh Hai Khwahishein, Naagin Season 7, Tere Bin, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, and Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi.
